Adult Abuse
It's a sad fact that adult abuse occurs all to often, in the must unlikely of places by the most unlikely
of people.
There are six catergories of abuse they are,
Physical,
Sexual, Emotional, Psychological, Neglect and Discriminatory.
Our staff are trained to notice the tell tale signs that point to a person being abused and how to proceed
if a client is showing any of these signs.
First Aid
As our care staff are responsible for vulnerable clients with a variety of conditions, it is important that
they are trained to cope with any situation that may arise, to this end we train our staff to a minimum of Emergency First
Aid. this includes managing bleeding, Fall's,Fainting, resuscitation and procedures to follow in all events.
Fire Safety
Fire safety is a big issue regarding the safety of our client and is a necessary component to providing a
complete care package. All our staff are trained in Fire Safety and Fire Awareness. This gives them the ability to spot potential
fire hazzards and address the issue before it is to late.
Lifting and Handling
As many of our clients need help in and out of bed it is important that all staff are trained in lifting and
handling people.
We also train all staff in the use of hoists to enable them to provide the best possible care for clients
who are in wheelchairs or bed bound.
Hygiene
With all the problems that are connected with hygiene and the fact that many of our clients are vulnerable
to infection, we see it as a top priority to ensure that staff are trained in personal and kitchen hygiene.
